Our President has chosen to acknowledge his granddaughter today. In other words, it was explained to him that this was a move that pretty much turned off everyone so he’d better fix it. There’s doubling down of the charges for the last President while charges against this one’s son are pending. And these are still the top two candidates. Proof that only the good die young. These two will be running against each other in 2036…this is how the whole head-thing from Futurama starts, I’m tellin’ ya.
A 46,000 year-old worm was revived by scientists. To what purpose, I do not care to know. It’s been crazy enough these past few years without putting an extinct being back into the primal mix…I mean, what could go wrong? Cue horror music soundtrack.
And a hero is gone: Sinead O’Connor. Every article reminds us that she tore up a certain Pope headshot. I mean, what she does with her Vatican souvenirs is her business but she did on live television. Call it what you will but I can’t help but look at the historical sojourn of the abused children and see a certain spike in activity to finally do something about seems to correlate with that event. I admire her bravery for standing up so fiercely and yet, she is a cautionary tale for the whistleblowers of this world. She, he or they who speak truth to power are often crushed in one way or another. We really shouldn’t kill the prophets, but it seems their destiny. I guess she knew how to re-invent herself and you can hear it in the song “Troy.” I suggest it for anytime you need to get back up again.
Tomorrow’s another day…already…because I forgot to finish this with a bang or a ta-da. P!nk is wailing away and it’s time to go to bed and forget the unfinished thoughts. News be damned. Let there be light. And hey, at least I wrote something today.
